"Respect the Nordschleife, the rules, and those around you and you'll have an amazing experience!"
73 corners, 300m elevation change, blind brows, tightening bends, complex cambers, bumps, numerous changes in tarmac and almost no run-off.
Welcome to the Nürburgring Nordschleife (North Loop). Built in 1927, it's 12.9 Miles of the most intoxicating driving on the planet from an era when motor sport had little thought for safety, you have to visit to believe it.
There are dedicated track day sessions every year when track day rules and regulations will apply.
However, it's more commonly open for tourist driving known as Touristenfahrten and operates under German public road law. This means passing on the left only, no racing or timing and your vehicle must be road legal. The course is still largely derestricted during Touristfahrten but there are a couple of sections with limits to reduce risk and noise levels. Be warned!

There's lots of information on the web about the 'Ring but you won't do better than the excellent www.bridgetogantry.com website.
