Created in the grounds of Donington Hall back in the 1930s, Donington has witnessed some of the most spectacular racing ever including F1, MotoGP, Superbike and the ever popular touring cars.
Donington is a popular track day circuit rewarding courage on the fast downhill Craner Curves, commitment at the Old Hairpin and precision on the blind cresting Coppice. But don't be fooled by it's apparent spaciousness and keep off the grass, especially when wet. Donington has a short format National circuit and a longer GP format which includes the Fogarty Esses and the Melbourne hairpin. Braking into the Melbourne hairpin is downhill and can be very deceptive. |
